Baby girl is three months old today. It’s just amazing that the time has gone by so quickly, and with all we went through at the beginning, I have to say I am very, very happy to be where we are right now. Cecily is happy and healthy, and she is seriously about the most charming little thing I have ever seen in my life. She loves to carry on little conversations now, and her little expressions when she’s forming all of those “words” just melt my heart. I can’t get over how gorgeous her eyes are: so dark brown, they are almost black. What a difference from her big brother and sister! And her hair is still the same dark shade, too. I know I’ve said this ad nauseum, but Matt and I finally have a baby that looks like she actually belongs to us!
Just like Jack before her, Cecily absolutely loves her play mat, and especially the musical star that hangs above her when she’s lying on it. She will smile and coo up at it, and every time I see her doing that, it feels like a time machine has taken me back four years to when Jack was that little, since he used to do that very thing. And every time Cecily quiets and starts to grin when I put her on her changing table (her favorite place, by far, in the entire house), I recall how Charlotte used to do that very thing. Time goes by so quickly, doesn’t it?
Tuesdays and Thursdays while Jack and Charlotte are at Mothers’ Day Out are my precious time to spend with just Miss Lily (we’ve been trying out a new nickname for her). To be able to have some quiet, unadulterated time for us is something I truly cherish. I want to soak up as much of these tiny baby snuggles as I can before she decides she would rather be on the move!
Just look at this little onesie Mom sent Lily for Christmas. All wrapped up, complete with a Christmas bow! And the sentiment on the back couldn’t be more apropos.

She just gets cuter, every day! I love the onesie. Can I just add – Lily seems to fit her perfectly.
So cute! We have the same play mat and star…Ellie loves it as well!!
