Thank you for your thoughts and prayers!

What a week this has been for little Cecily. I now have a very healthy respect for the incredible impact that a relatively innocuous virus for adults can have on such little ones. Cecily has been such a trooper throughout all of this, and we are so immensely grateful for all of the kind prayers, thoughts, phone calls and notes that have assured us that she has a network of people pulling for her speedy recovery. There is nothing more helpless than the feeling a parent has watching his or her infant struggle with every breath. It is indescribably excruciating.

Just in the last 24 hours Cecily really seems to have turned a corner. She is even back to flashing a flicker of her sweet little smile now and then, which is wonderful considering she was far too weak and worn out to do so even as recently as yesterday morning. After a week full of trips to the pediatrician and one to the emergency room, that glimpse of the twinkle in her eye returning is the best early Christmas present any of us could ask for!

Love to all,

Amy

Poor sweet girl. It breaks my heart to see her little face and the misery she has felt. Know that you all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers!

So precious and heartbreaking at the same time. I am just so thankful that she is feeling better. You deserve a much needed break from any trips to the doctor or ER. I will continue to keep you and Cecily in my prayers, but I am happy to hear that she is on the mend!
