Saturday Seven (No. 5)

Happy Saturday, everyone! I have to say the blogosphere is absolutely brimming with goodness right now, because it was really difficult narrowing down my lineup this week!

In case you’re new to Positively Splendid, each Saturday I share seven of the projects that have wowed me the most over the course of the last week. Whether it be a craft, a DIY project, a recipe, an event, or something else entirely, if I love it, you can count on finding it here!

So, let’s get right to it! In no particular order, let me present this week’s
Saturday Seven!

No. 1
Nursery Alphabet Wall Art @ Kara’s Corner

What a phenomenal idea to use flashcards to adorn the walls of a room for baby! Such a darling, innovative idea!

No. 2
Stenciled Damask Lampshade @ Tatertots and Jello

I adore Jen. I adore her blog. And I ADORE this lamp! See the damask pattern she stenciled here? It is flocked, people. As in, it has tons of glorious texture! I absolutely must get my hands on some flocked paint!

No. 3
Tooth Fairy Door @ This Blessed Nest

This honestly might very well be the cutest idea I’ve ever seen in my life. Seriously. Kellie is a brilliant, and her little boy is so fortunate to have such a creative, fun mama to commemorate the special moments in his life like losing his first tooth!

No. 4
Rick Rack Rosettes @ The Crafting Chicks

I happened upon these beauties a couple of weeks back, and I’ve been coveting them ever since. I am thinking something like these might wind up in my Creative Estates accessory lineup!

No. 5
Sew Along for Japan @ Living with Punks

LivingwithPunks

Sweet Ms. Susan is hosting a sew-along for Japan at her place starting tomorrow. Using a darling Pink Fig applique pattern, the goal is to have 500 shirts made through the sew-along to send to the sweet children in Japan whose lives have been turned upside down by the earthquake and tsunami. Blogging with a purpose – this is what it’s all about!

No. 6
Faux Tiffany Lamp @ Suzy’s Artsy-Craftsy Sitcom

There are a few projects I encounter that make me utter an audible, “Wow!” because of their ingenuity or uniqueness, and this is certainly one of them. You will never guess how this lamp was done. Color me impressed!

No. 7
Easter Egg Hunt Cookies @ In Katrina’s Kitchen

Stick around for a while, and you’ll come to find out that I can’t resist adding a delectable treat to this weekly lineup. If you think these little guys look good on the outside, just wait until you see what’s hidden inside! I don’t know who would love these more: my kids, or me!
