It’s T-minus two days and counting until the big day (Mothers’ Day, that is!), and if you are still on the lookout for a fun gift for the mothers and grandmothers in your life, this new spin on an idea I shared a few days ago might be just the ticket.
Instead of using them for the photo collages as I described in that post, you can easily use the same basic concept to help your children create a fun memory book for a special mom in your life!
Here’s how to do it!
Print the printable of your choice onto white cardstock for the cover of your book…
…and then have each child draw a picture to answer the “InsertNameHere, I love you because…” question. Include a snapshot of each child along with their name and current age…
…and then create a back cover with another sheet of cardstock to display your chosen sentiment.
The end result is a precious memento that will be cherished for many years to come!
I put together one of these for each of our moms this year (sorry to spoil the surprise, Mom and Sharon!). To ensure the books would pass the test of time, I laminated the front and back covers and and each of the inner pages. (Oh how I looooove my new Scotch laminating machine!) I then used my Bind-it-All machine to add a spiral binding to each of the books, but you could easily use jump rings and punched holes if you don’t have a book-binding machine at your disposal.
