Color Block Candy Corn Pillow (PDF Tutorial)

September 6, 2013 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Although it’s still well over 100 degrees here in central Texas (boo!), once September comes around, I know it’s time to start thinking about pulling out my fall decorations. These color block candy corn pillow covers are an easy sewing project suitable even for beginning sewists, and the candy corn colors of orange, white and yellow make these perfect for displaying throughout the fall, and even once the Halloween festivities have come and gone.

Color block motifs have certainly gained popularity recently, and for good reason: projects like these are colorful, and they are a great way to showcase a few of your favorite fabrics. Although I am smitten with the candy corn theme here, this same tutorial could be used to create fun pillow covers for any holiday: Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Independence Day and more!

Thank you so much for this pattern. My grown daughter’s birthday is on Halloween and I ALWAYS have problems trying to find a gift for her. She loves pillows, so I know this will be a welcomed gift!

    Hi Amy
It’s over 100′ here in Los Angeles also, so it’s tough to think fall crafts and decor. However, your candy corn block pillow has a hint of summertime–perfect for the porch.
