I am loving my Halloween mantel this year! Using items I’ve collected over the years and a couple of new elements, my mantel is dressed up in farmhouse style and ready for Halloween! Continue reading for all the details for how my farmhouse Halloween mantel decorations came together.
I have always been a fan of Halloween decorations that are more cute than scary, so this Halloween mantel reflects that. The tobacco basket wreath hanging at the center is something I keep hanging above my mantel year-round, and I decided to give it a Halloween makeover with a cute sign from the Halloween section at Jo-Ann.
Buffalo check Halloween bows on my boxwood topiaries make them Halloween-ready, and they coordinate perfectly with my buffalo check pumpkin. My Halloween banner came from Michaels last year.
My kids’ favorite part of this mantel is our skeleton friend, whom they’ve named Fred. I found him at Target this year.
These sweet ceramic pumpkins came from Michaels this year. I love that they have openings in the back so I can place battery operated candles in each one for a spooky glow.
I found the cute light-up miniature houses in the dollar section at Target, and I love that they will be able to transition into my holiday decor later on. A twig and berry halloween garland from Michaels adds some great texture to the mix, and a Halloween tree and black crow finish things off with a spooky touch. (This tree also made an appearance my Halloween mantel a few years back.)
This mantel is truly one of my favorites I’ve ever had for Halloween, since it really integrates so well with the rest of my home decor. It’s so fun to decorate for each and every season, and dressing up a mantel is the perfect way to do so!
