Oh Amy, we are for sure Soul Sisters! I too have been trying to do everything I can to SLOW life down and enjoy my babies because I blinked and my oldest started Kindergarten this year. I truly want to soak up as much time with them as I can because it goes WAY too fast. Thank you for this poem. It brought me to tears (in a good way) and i loved it.

I have read that poem several times in the years that I was an at home mom with a messy house!! A friend of mine told me that the children grow up while we are doing the dishes.

It’s true.

I’m glad you are making your family your priority. The world will be a better place for it.

I have always heard the end of that poem but not the whole thing. It is lovely. I enjoy reading your posts on motherhood. We have finished our family with baby number 4 as well, and they do grow up so fast.
