Healthy Christmas Care Package (Swell Noel #35)

I had the pleasure of meeting today’s Swell Noel guest, Michelle from A Little Tipsy, at Creative Estates in the spring. I am so thrilled she could stop in today with a truly ingenious gift idea for neighbors, teachers and friends!

I am excited to be here on Positively Splendid! Amy is a doll and I am so happy to visit while she is enjoying her sweet bundle!
Hi, I’m Michelle from…

I love to share creative projects that can be done on a time and money budget. I also host a weekly DIY Under $5 party. I love Nutella, despise all things cherry and refuse to accept that popcorn is not a meal.

But, enough about me, let’s talk neighbor gifts.

Last year one of my neighbors gave me a box of tissues with a note that read “We tissue a Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year.” I thought it was so cute so I ran with it and it will be my son’s teacher gift this year.

I used the tissue box idea and added an array of health related items:
Wet wipes
Throat drops
Hand Sanitizer
Emergen-C packets
Chapstick

Added some snowflake filler aka pieces of silk flowers that look like snowflakes.

Then, I made some matching tags using wrapping paper, thin white cardboard, glue and glitter paint.
Cut out a snowflake. Glue it to the cardboard. Cover the white areas with glitter glue using the Martha Stewart fine tip top that screws right on to the paint bottle. Let the glue dry.
Cut the snowflakes out and write “We tissue a Merry Christmas…” and “and a healthy New Year!” on the back.

I love how it turned out and everything cost me under $10! Everything but the glitter paint, glue and cardboard was from Target. Easy as pie!

Thanks for letting me stop in and feel free to swing by and visit any time over on A Little Tipsy!

Isn’t that a fun, unique idea? What a perfect gift for the teachers in our lives who are constantly in the line of sniffly noses and coughs!

I LOVE Emergen-C!! We call it “pop juice” around here and my boys think it’s a treat! ;) This really is a phenomenal gift- thanks for a clever, cute idea Michelle!

Is the box of supplies a reused tissue box?

    Pip-
The supplies are in a bucket from the Target Dollar Section, but it could easily be a re-used tissue box. The oval package with the ribbon are the tissues.
