Thankful Jars (Swell Noel #31)

November 8, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Sweet Jen of Tatertots and Jello never ceases to inspire me with her creativity, and her offering for today’s Swell Noel post is no exception! Hooray for a fun Thanksgiving project!
***

I’m Jen from the blog Tatertots & Jello. I just love Amy and I’m so excited to be here! I’d love to share a simple Thanksgiving craft you can make with some left over jars and pretty paper!
I made some Thanks jars for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday. I’m really pleased with how they turned out!!

  • The first thing I did was I took some spaghetti jars and took the labels off
  • Then I poured a small amount of paint in the bottom and coated the inside of the jars with the paint.
  • I poured any extra paint into the next bottle.
  • Then I let it dry.
Then I made some labels the same size as the original spaghetti labels. Here’s how I made the labels:
The first thing that I did was went to LilyPad and picked out some beautiful digital scrapbook papers. I downloaded them and then I went into Photoshop Express and added a pretty masks from JD Designs.
Another Day from Allison Pennington

Fall Frolic from Jenna Desai
I added the letters THANKS and then printed out the labels. I punched the sides of the labels and then threaded twine through to tie the labels onto the bottles.

Now I have some pretty bottles to display Fall foliage for the Thanksgiving holiday!

Thanks for letting me stop by! I’d love to have you share YOUR ideas at my Weekend Wrap Up Party on Fridays 🙂
xoxo
