12 Unique Holiday Wreaths

December 13, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Who can believe Christmas is now less than two weeks away! If you’re still on the lookout for a festive wreath to adorn your front door to greet holiday guests, today I’m sharing twelve of my favorite wreath ideas that I’ve come across recently. I never cease to be amazed at the wealth of inspiration abounding in the blogosphere!

one. Cookie Cutter Wreath @ BHG

I adore the idea of using vintage cookie cutters to create a unique display to adorn any area, but I think it would be particularly fun in a kitchen!

two. Vintage Ornament Wreath @ SNAP! via Tatertots and Jello

I literally gasped with delight when I first laid eyes on this beauty. The retro feel of this wreath, which incorporates Jen’s collection of vintage ornaments, is downright fabulous!

three. Candy Cane Wreath @ Whipperberry

What a lovely creation for Christmas, and something that could easily be transitioned into Valentine’s Day decor later on! You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how simply this is assembled.

four. Woodland Moss Wreath @ Keeping Up with the Times

The earthy, natural feel of this gem works so well for wintry decor, don’t you think? Love the bright pops from the red berries!

five. Family Photo Wreath @ The Crafting Chicks

The black and white of the photos juxtaposed against the little notes of red works so well here! And what a terrific way to commemorate Christmases past.

six. Pinecone Snowflake Wreath @ Poppytalk via House and Home Magazine

Pinecone wreaths abound this time of year, but the unusual shape of this one is a real show-stopper!

seven. Christmas Wreath Snowman @ Grosgrain

What a whimsical, fun way to make a decorative statement with your front door! My kiddos would love this.

eight. Holiday Book Page Wreath @ Homemade by Jill

Love this holiday twist on book page wreaths. The red ornaments are so lovely!

nine. Holiday Herb Wreath @ Country Living

I’m sure this wreath smells as good as it looks!

ten. Paper Leaf Christmas Wreath @ The Red Thread

This beauty is made of wrapping paper. Such a fun idea!

eleven. Peppermint Wreath @ Procraftination Station

The red and white mints paired with that polka dot ribbon is a crafting home run! So bright and cheery.

twelve. Glamorous Holiday Wreath @ A Blonde’s DIY Life

Glamorous, indeed! I love the reflected light!

Which of these wreaths is just your style?
Do you have any favorites I haven’t included?

Thanks for reading!

In years past I have taken a stryofome wreath and pinned peppermints to cover the wreath. Of course it was kept up high enough that the kids had to ask for a mint.
