The Sewing Box in Action (Plus A Promotion!)

September 28, 2012 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Earlier this month, I shared the full reveal of my brand-new sewing room and home office. I am delighted to say that after three weeks of settling into my new space, I love this room even more now than I even did at the start!

Without a doubt, the most feedback I received about this room was regarding my Sewing Box from the Original Scrapbox, which really is the crown jewel of this room.

Without this piece of furniture, this entire space simply wouldn’t have been possible. Hidden functionality is what makes this room tick, and that is what The Sewing Box does best!

I received a number of emails and messages pertaining to exactly how the box works. Is it easy to open and shut? How much space does it take up? Does the box have ample room for a serger, too?

As I considered how to best answer your questions, it dawned on me that there would be no better way than to show you the box in action!

Today, I am going to share a video I made to show how I recently used my Sewing Box to make some fun Color Block Candy Corn Pillows for Halloween from start to finish. Along the way, I’ll also show you how in less than a minute’s time, the Sewing Box transforms from an attractive piece of furniture into a veritable sewing command center.

After the video, be sure to scroll down for all of the details for the fabulous promotion available on the Sewing Box for PS readers! Hooray!!

The Sewing Box is undoubtedly amazing, but let’s sweeten the pot with a discount, shall we?

Now through October 6th, PS readers who call in their order will be eligible for a $200 discount on any black Sewing Box. Don’t forget to mention the code Positively Splendid when you call! (801.226.2686)

P.S. The full project tutorial for the Color Block Candy Corn Pillows shown in the video is available to all of my lovely Facebook followers as a way to say thank you for following along. You can head over to my page to grab the free PDF download!

What a fun video…I loved seeing it in action. Sometimes that really makes a difference between seeing everything move and in photos. Thanks for sharing. Love the pics too. 🙂
