Today’s Swell Noël Post features a darling handmade ornament idea made from an embroidery hoop compliments of Angie at the Country Chic Cottage. Now let’s make his head. I used my Silhouette to cut out a deer silhouette I found from scrapbook paper. You could absolutely print one and use scissors to cut this out.
I actually did not like how big those antlers were so I gave him a hair cut.
I then added two googly eyes with hot glue. I used the tip of my paint brush to make a red sparkly nose.
Now onto his feet. I just used a rectangle of scrapbook paper.
I then just cut the legs until they looked right.
I cut away the top portion so it would be hidden after I added to the hoop. Then I used a Sharpie to add a few hooves.
Then just glue your head onto the area where the screw is on the hoop. I added another piece of twine to use for hanging on the tree.
I then hot glued on those feet.
He is ready to hang on the tree (that is as soon as we put it up!). I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and will make your own Rudolph.
