Cottonelle Respect the Roll

November 9, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Thank you to Cottonelle for encouraging me to Respect The Roll by sending me these awesome roll covers and Cottonelle Clean Care product and sponsoring my creativity. You can enter to win roll covers yourself by visiting Cottonelle’s Facebook page!

With a family of six occupying one less-than-cavernous home, I am always trying to find ways to maximize the limited space at our disposal, especially in shared rooms like bathrooms. Everything in our bathroom has a place: things like Q-tips, cotton balls, and the like all have pretty containers to keep them at arm’s reach without taking up precious cabinet space. I’ll be honest, though: toilet paper, as crucial as we all know it is, has always been relegated to a hidden space under the sink. There just wasn’t anything attractive to do with it, and besides: all parents know the havoc an industrious 2-year-old can wreak with an unattended roll of TP!
When Cottonelle approached me recently to test out some of their Clean Care paper and a few of their roll covers to see if I could gussy them up with my own creative twist, I was excited at the challenge and enthusiastic about finding a way to bring my rolls out of hiding and free up some cabinet space in the process. The roll covers come in three really fun, colorful designs, and the moment I pulled them out  of the box, my creative juices were flowing.
I had a few spare knobs from the kitchen cabinets in our previous home, so I used a bit of E6000 to attach those securely to each of the lids. I then used my Silhouette to cut out three decorative tags from chalkboard vinyl so I could label these guys to my heart’s content!

These are the perfect vessels for toilet paper (and the lids snap very securely to prevent little mischief-makers from strewing paper from hither to yon!), but I can honestly see them being a great way to contain any number of bathroom necessities.

And I can now leave subtle reminders for my kiddos to never leave anyone stranded without a roll of TP!

Thank you again to Cottonelle for sponsoring this blog post. Please click here to learn more about Respecting The Roll. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Hi Amy–did you realize (maybe did on purpose), you labeled tp holders with No.1, No.2–Ha, ha–one roll for each “purpose.”
