Book Page Cupcake Toppers

End-of-school class parties in your future, or possibly a birthday party for a little bookworm in your life? Make these delightful book page cupcake toppers to help celebrate! PS contributor Jessica from Sunny Tuesday shares the details for how easily these come together.

I love all things vintage and especially if they are also quick, cheap and easy!  You won’t believe how fast you can make one of these book page cupcake toppers!
You will need:
Paper punch
Book pages
Coordinating scrapbook paper
Toothpicks
Ric rac

To make the illustration cupcake topper, first punch out an image from an old children’s book.  Punch another circle from a coordinating scrapbook paper.

Sandwich a toothpick between the image and the scrapbook paper and affix with glue, taking care to perfectly line up the edges.

To make the pennant cupcake topper, fold the page in half and cut a triangle. Open it into a diamond.

Carefully glue the ric rac to the edge of one half of the diamond, so that the ric rac is half on and half off the paper. Fold it at the point to keep a neat line.Place the toothpick in the center of the diamond and fold it over, making sure to match the edges.

These super sweet cupcake toppers cost just pennies and can be made in less than a minute each. How cute would these be for a baby shower or first birthday party!
Jessica’s ideas are always darling, and she specializes in projects that are quick, easy and totally delightful.

These are so cute! I always love the vintage look. And so easy too! It’s a great way to use an old book that is beyond saving.
