Face Painting the Easy Way with Silhouette Tattoos

June 21, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Do you have a party involving kiddos coming up? Face painting is always a hit with little ones, but any mother who has dealt with stained clothes and smudged, sticky faces can attest that it isn’t the tidiest party activity out there. So when I saw that the June Silhouette promo was all about their Temporary Tattoo paper, I was super excited! What a perfect option for festive face art without the mess!

Right out of the gate, I was super impressed with how easy the print and cut feature of the Silhouette is to use. I downloaded a fireworks print and cut file from the Silhouette library for 99 cents, and once I imported the file into my new document, the screen guided me through each and every step I needed to complete in order to print, apply the adhesive, and then cut the images from my temporary tattoo paper.

I cannot stress enough how user-friendly the Silhouette is. I am still familiarizing myself with it, yet every time I try something new, I find it to be simple and straightforward. This is a terrific machine for anyone, of any technology/crafting skill level!

Back to the tattoos. A wet cloth and 30 seconds or so is all it takes to apply these beauties. No brushes, no messy paints, no impatient preschoolers. And they come off easily with soap and water. Perfect, right? I can’t wait to pull these out for our July 4th festivities!

This month’s Silhouette promotion is a terrific one, with prices lower than I believe I’ve ever seen!

You get…

1 Silhouette SD Machine
and
2 Packages of Temporary Tattoo Paper

all for $199!
(In case you’re counting, that’s a savings of $120!)

Already have a Silhouette in your arsenal? Don’t feel left out. 🙂

All other Silhouette products (excluding gift cards and download codes) are 25% off! Suh-weet!

When you’re shopping, make sure to enter the code POSITIVELY to take advantage of these deals. This promotion runs from now through the 29th.

Happy shopping, and creating!

Cute blog! Thanks for writing about the silhouette machine… I’ve seen them around and have considered getting one for my business for cards and other fun stuff, but haven’t made the jump yet because of the price and I wasn’t entirely sure what it could do and/or if it was worth it. The temporary tattoos are really fun! I’ll have to read a bit more about this now. 🙂
