Saturday Seven (No. 6)

April 2, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Wow – Saturday again! This week flew by for me!

Each Saturday I share seven of the projects that have wowed me the most over the course of the last week. Whether it be a craft, a DIY project, a recipe, an event, or something else entirely, if I love it, you can count on finding it here!

So – let’s get right to it! I’m happy to present (in no particular order) this week’s
Saturday Seven!

No. 1
Memory Verse Pillow Covers @ ChaCha’s Treasures

These gorgeous creations are available in my friend ChaCha’s Etsy shop, ChaCha’s Treasures. The pocket on the front is the perfect spot to keep bible memory verses. What a marvelous Easter gift idea! I have had the privilege to meet ChaCha twice now, during Blissdom and then during a thrifting outing, and she is such a gem. And not only is her shop brimming with lovelies; her blog, Sit, Relax and Read, is too!

No. 2
Plywood Rug @ Sugar Bee Crafts

This, my friends, is one of the smartest things I have seen in a long time! Mandy opted not to use one of the boring plastic roller mats, instead opting to craft her own stenciled version. I adore everything about this! Just brilliant!

No. 3
Easter Egg Wreath @ Every Crafty Endeavor

The fluffy goodness of this little jewel is irresistible, but what makes me love it most of all is Amanda’s idea to use a feather boa instead of dealing with the usual mess that accompanies feather projects. So smart!

No. 4
Hydrangea-Covered Easter Eggs @ The Sweet Survival

Are these beauties stunning, or what? At our house in Arkansas, we were overwhelmed each spring by an abundance of gorgeous hydrangea blooms in our backyard each spring. These might help me miss those a little less!

No. 5
Spring Scavenger Hunt @ I Am Momma Hear Me Roar

What a fun idea to get the kiddos outside to enjoy some fresh air now that spring is finally here. (Or at least, now that it should be here!) We will certainly be doing this at Chez Bell sometime soon!

No. 6
Easter Sock Vase Cozies @ JC’s Loft

The simple brilliance of this little idea captivated me from the start! What an easy way to brighten up your home for Easter!

No. 7
White Chocolate Orange Cookies @ Landee See, Landee Do

Per my tradition, I’m wrapping things up with a tasty treat. I am not exaggerating when I say that I have actually had dreams about these (seriously) since I stumbled upon them last week. White chocolate. Orange. Like a little cookie-version of a Dreamsicle. Oh my gracious – yum!

We’re off to my son’s soccer game this morning. What’s on tap for you?

Thanks for sharing. I have a remnant of the floral fabric used on the first pillow and have been struggling to find something I like it paired with. I’ll have to go on a search now for a blue fabric similar to that because I love the combination.
