A great way my family beats the heat is to head to the movies, and for those of your with daughters or nieces (or those with friends who simply love a movie for the young at heart!), Monte Carlo starring Selena Gomez of Disney Channel fame is a must-see when you hit the theater. This story of an ordinary girl who becomes an accidental heiress might remind you of the Princess Diaries, and the message of staying true to yourself no matter the circumstances is a great one to convey to the young girls in your life. I know when my girls are a bit older, this is the very type of movie I will be looking forward to enjoying with them! For the time being, though, I love seeing movies like this one with girlfriends. A feel-good romantic comedy is sometimes just what the doctor ordered!
