Hello, Facebook Fans!
Welcome to your exclusive, never-before-seen No-Sew Felt Bow tutorial and pattern, which I’m offering to you as a huge THANK YOU for liking my page!
Since you’ve already downloaded the free pattern for how to make these beauties (if not, venture back over to the top-secret, fan-only download page to do so), let’s get started seeing just how easy it is to make one (or a few!) of these bows to adorn everything from wreaths and handbags, to wearable items and more!
For this project, you will need…
Free Bow Templates (only available for download on the PS Facebook Page)
Scotch tape
Scissors
Felt
Cardboard
Hot glue
To begin, assemble your patterns. Make two copies of each pattern size (small and large). Cut out the bow body portion of each printout, and overlap the two pieces of the corresponding sizes at the overlap point indicated on the pieces. Secure your pieces with Scotch tape.
Now, cut out one bow center piece from your pattern printouts for each bow size.
Use your assembled patterns to cut out two felt bow body pieces, one small and one large. Also cut a bow center using your large bow center piece pattern. (You can reserve your small bow center piece pattern for times when you want to make a small, unstacked bow.)
Working with your large bow body piece, fold over the left edge so it meets the center of the piece, as shown. Secure with a dab of hot glue. Overlap and glue the right side of the piece in the same manner. Repeat with your small bow body piece.
Stack your smaller bow on top of the larger bow, securing them together with a line of hot glue.
To add support to your bow, cut a .75 x 6″ piece of cardboard and adhere it to the back of your stacked bows with hot glue.
Now, wrap your center piece around your bow, overlapping the edges on the back side of your bow. Secure with hot glue.
Voila!
A sweet little bow to adorn any project you desire!
If you prefer, you can also use these templates to also make single, unstacked bows. There are so many options here!
