Silhouette CAMEO Giveaway!

November 19, 2012 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

FacebookTweetPinYummlyPrint

Do you hear those bells ringing off in the distance? That might just be Santa and his sleigh, because he stopped by PS early this year with a truly swoon-worthy gift:

A Silhouette CAMEO!

That’s right: one lucky PS reader is going to win a CAMEO, just in time for the holidays!

Equipped to cut vinyl, heat transfer, fabric, paper and many other fun materials, you can use this to embellish sewing projects, punch up home decor, create seasonal crafts and much more! The possibilities with the CAMEO are truly endless.

Not familiar with the CAMEO? Here’s a bit more about the machine from the Silhouette website:

The Silhouette CAMEO® is an electronic cutting tool for personal use. Like a home printer, it plugs into your PC or Mac® with a simple USB cable. However, instead of printing it uses a small blade to cut paper, cardstock, vinyl, fabric and more up to 12″ wide and 10 feet long. The machine also has the ability to register and cut printed materials.

There are so many fun projects you can create with this machine!

The Cameo is a dream system. I would first use it to make appliques for the handmade Advent calendar that I am trying to make for my 5-yr old daughters. After that I’d like to make ornaments and aprons as Christmas gifts and after the holidays I’d love to let my girls choose from the wide variety of shapes that only the Cameo can supply to use for their own constant crafting.

I know I’ll be disqualified coz I don’t live in the US but I just wanted to share that I bought one sometime ago and only got to use it for one project. Then it broke down and I couldn’t get it fixed because there were no service centers here in the UAE. I lost my money and I couldn’t afford to get it shipped back to the US for repairs and then pay again for return shipping. now there are so many projects I wished I could do like making decals for the house or screen printing patterns for some gifts I want to make. Wished silhouette would have a branch here in Dubai soon.

I’ve been posting this comment on most silhouette giveaway posts hoping silhouette America will listen to my pleas…

    Good morning,

I am new to the crafting, diy, repurposing scene. I have aspirations of starting a blog and business of my own showcasing my creativity and desire to create beautiful things for home and life. In my attempts to create the projects in my mind, I am faced with challenges of creating stencils and templates for my projects. In search of a solution to my “challenge” I stumbled upon the Cameo Silhouette. The Silhouette would enhance my projects by helping me to create polished, professional finished products. As part of my service repertoire, I would like to make custom t-shirts and the “iron on transfer” option with the Silhouette would allow to seamlessly transition from creating an iron transfer to a creating a stencil for a canvas project. I would love to WIN the Cameo Silhouette because quite honestly, I cannot afford to buy it. Winning the Cameo Silhouette would be a blessing to me and my budding business, so I do hope that I am considered for the prize.

    Thank you,

    Hopeful and Crafty 🙂

She scrapbooks constantly and has recently not be able to as much because she takes care of my daughter on the weekends. She has talked about getting one for so long, but has always put everyone elses’ needs above hers. She is the person who always does something for someone else without asking to be thanked and looking for appreciation of her efforts. I want to show her how much I appreciate everything she does!!! First I would make the custom, personalized Christmas stockings my sister-in-law requested for the family this year. Then I would make a million things for my bulletin board at the office. I work at an autism center where lots of creative projects come up but we lack the tools to make things.

If I was the lucky winner, the first thing I would make would be a thank you card for my husband. After I had a stroke earlier this year at only age 43, he has been more than amazing, and today I am thankful for him. Thanks very much for this giveaway.
