Saturday Seven (No. 11)

Okay – I know it is technically Sunday, but we were en route home from an amazing beach trip yesterday, and I didn’t manage to share my lineup with you. My shares this week are so terrific, I knew they couldn’t wait seven more days! So – it’ll be the Saturday/Sunday Seven. How about that? ;)

In case you’re new to Positively Splendid, each Saturday I share seven things that have caught my eye throughout the blogging world over the course of the past seven days. Be it a project, a recipe, an event, or something else entirely, if I love it, you can count on finding it here!

So now, let me present to you (in no particular order) this week’s
Saturday Seven!

No. 1
Summer Activity Board @ Brassy Apple by Sew Dang Cute Crafts

With summer on the brain, this project certainly caught my eye! Tam includes a full tutorial with free printable for making your very own magnetic summer activity planner. What a fun, functional idea!

No. 2
Easy Shorts with Pockets Tutorial @ Craftaholics Anonymous

It is often next to impossible to find fun project ideas for the little guys in our lives, so when I see one that I love, I have to pass it along! Linda provides a super simple, easy-to-follow tutorial here for making some fun summer shorts for your little one. And they come complete with pockets for stowing away lots of rocks and sticks (and maybe even a frog or two!).

No. 3
A+ Teacher Gift @ Oopsey Daisy

Alison found inspiration in my Framed Love Equation from Valentine’s Day to come up with this super simple, yet super memorable, end-of-year teacher gift. With school days coming to a close, what a great idea to show appreciate to the teachers in our lives!

No. 4
Paper Flower Monogram @ Creations by Kara

That red frame juxtaposed against the burlap and the black and white book page flowers is simultaneously classy and fun! What a terrific project, with a great step-by-step to guide you along the way.

No. 5
Drink Tub Flower Pot @ Every Creative Endeavor

I love using objects in unexpected ways, which is exactly what Amanda did here with these Walmart drink tubs. I love the vinyl lettering here, but what I love most is the way the colors of her flowers pop against that vivid blue! Just lovely!

No. 6
US Scrap Map @ See Kate Sew

Every once in a while, a project comes along that absolutely knocks my socks off. This, my friends, is one of them! Everything about this is absolutely brilliant. What a fun, vibrant way to use up fabric scraps!

No. 7

I’m breaking tradition here a little bit with this one, as the seventh slot in the lineup is usually reserved for a tasty treat, but I couldn’t resist sharing with you how the Bell clan spent our week last week. :)

Don’t forget to venture back over tomorrow for the kick-off of week three of the Summer Survival Guide. Tomorrow’s contribution is D-E-L-I-S-H!
