So I use Mozy – about the time I did a one year subscription I needed to back up from Mozy to a new computer. Biggest disaster EVER. I am STILL sorting out my photos a year later they were arranged by date and when I backed up to the new computer they were all over the place. Anyway…look at online reviews before you choose I wish I had!
Great post! Thanks for the reminder to back up my photos. I haven’t done that in a few months.
I use Memory Manager by Creative Memories. I also digital scrapbook which is great because I can take it everywhere & there are so many options. I highly recommend both!
I organize by date, separating them into months and then within the months by activities if they are big enough. if it is just a random pic or two i just leave them in the month folder. i scrap digitally and put the pages in my kids books chronologically but i scrap what moves me. until i get so behind that i just want to finish a certain year…. i am currently on 2008 LOL but since i started scrapping digitally it is easier to change the pages just slightly for each child’s book. or to print the same one for all books. i am hoping to get through and get caught up soon with just creating more simple pages. i rather have the photos out in print than just stored on my computer or ehd

Today was my daughters’ last day of school, she is the baby of 4 and the only girl. It has been a tearful week, need I say more. Just yesterday we brought her home to 3 very proud brothers. It all goes far too fast! I am terrible about pics and recently decided with all this free time on my hands I need to do better. I have to share a tradition I have done with all 4 of my kids. I cover their bedroom door with pics of them all through out their years, their first days of school, their activities they were involved in and of course their friends. I put it up a couple of days before their graduation and they love showing all of their friends. Hold your sweet babies close, it goes by far too fast!
Great tips-with my oldest (also a Jack!) I had everything perfectly scrapbooked but five years later with three boys I feel overwhelmed with how behind I am on family photo organization. I definitely need to work on deleting pictures as well….{sigh}
I definitely agree with you that it is so important to document life as you go along, it is amazing how much can happen in such a short space of time.
