10 More Why Didn’t I Think of That? Tips

May 1, 2012 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

I am always finding terrific ideas during my forays through the blogging and Pinterest world, and every once in a while, I like to pass along some of my favorite recent finds with you!

Below you’ll find ten ideas that might very well have you thinking, “Why didn’t I think of that?”
These ingenious tips will have you wondering, "Why didn't I think of that?!"

one.
Make Taco Shells in the Oven @ Eating Well

Hello! How smart is this?! No more standing at the stove frying those guys up one by one.

two.
Make Hot Glue Strings Disappear via Craftaholics Anonymous

Such a brilliant idea, this has me wondering why I didn’t think of it myself. You’ll have to head over to see how she does it!
three.
Cut Ice Cream instead of Scooping via Real Simple

Oh, how my aching wrists wish I had learned this tip about umpteen birthday parties ago! So smart.
four.
Make Wreath Forms from Plumbing Foam Tubing via The Penny Parlor

Remember when I made a wreath from a pool noodle? This is the same concept, but I love that you can get four wreaths out of one 97-cent section here!
five.
Make Premade Muffin Mixes

This is an idea from the PS archive that is a real time-saver! Mix your dry ingredients for muffins, place in a baggy, and write on the front additional mix-ins and baking instructions. This makes having from-scratch muffins every bit as easy as the boxed versions.
six.
Make Homemade Instant Oatmeal Packets via Tammy’s Recipes

For busy moms looking to provide nutritious breakfasts in a rush, this is a great idea!
seven.
Make Decorative Tape out of Old Wrapping Paper via Country Living

All of those remnants of paper left over when wrapping presents now have a purpose!
eight.
Organize Bobbins on Magnetic Strips via Domestic Adventure

I will be doing something like this very, very soon!
nine.
Repurpose a Plastic Hanger into a Chip Clip via Money Saving Mom

Our closets are teeming with these hangers from children’s clothing. I love taking items like these and turning them into something useful!

ten.
Fix Broken Eyeshadow via A Matter of Style

Who knew?!

Magnetic pin cushions near your computerized machine and other magnetized metal placed inside your sewing machine can wreak havoc with the newer whiz bang sewing machines. Introducing new elements which have been magnetized to your computerized machine may cause problems with you machine’s inner workings. Older non-computerized machines may fare better.
