Blissdom 2011

January 30, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

I know I mentioned it yesterday, but I would be remiss not to say again what an incredible experience the Blissdom blogging conference was. I was so fortunate to meet and get to know so many other talented women in the blogging world, many of whom I have admired for close to a year now along the road of my blogging journey. The relationships and networking was certainly paramount for me in terms of the meaning of my experience, but I can’t overstate how much I learned from the many speakers who gave insight into what it takes to have a successful blog, and also what it means to strive to achieve my greatest potential.

And…I can officially say I am no longer a complete Twitter novice! Hooray!

The only problem I can see that might result from this experience? I can see myself becoming an unabashed conference junkie! 🙂

Allison from House of Hepworths

Lorie from Be Different Act Normal

 Beckie from Infarrantly Creative
Myra from My Blessed Life and the Casabella Project
I actually ran into a girl from my hometown the second morning we were there. Amanda and I both grew up in windy southeastern New Mexico, and graduated just a couple of years apart! What a small world!

At the (In)courage party on the first night with Emily from Decor Chick, Jen from Tatertots and Jello and Jess from Frugal with a Flourish. Be on the lookout for a tutorial soon detailing how I made the belt/sash I’m wearing here!

Also, in case you’re interested, the tutorial for the calla lily brooch I’m wearing in the first few photos can be found right here.

Happy Sunday!

I don’t think hubby will be too pleased if I ask to fly from Australia to attend a blog conference…
