Next in our Swell Noel lineup is a fun, kid-friendly decor project from Linda at Craftaholics Anonymous!

hi there! my name is linda and i’m a craft addict. i‘m the gal behind Craftaholics Anonymous, a site brimming with crafts, home decor, DIY, tutorials, and holiday decorating! my crafting philosophy is: Crafting doesn’t have to be expensive, just CREATIVE!
twice a year i host a Handmade Gift Exchange and the sign ups for the next exchange are going on right now until Nov. 7. so if you’re interested in participating, head over and sign up!
i’m happy to be here today to share a super easy tutorial with you while Amy is enjoying that sweet bundle of joy. {isn’t he a doll??} this craft is great for little helpers. so gather your littles and let’s get started!
Easy Framed Pine cones

i’m going to show you how to make these easy framed pine cones. i used the yummy cinnamon scented pine cones you find in the store BUT you can totally go out in your backyard and gather pine cones from the ground. {this is where your little helpers come in handy!} that is, if you’re lucky enough to live close to a pine tree…..which i am not so lucky.

SUPPLIES: pine cones, hot glue gun, ribbon, frame, and GlueGlider Pro+ {optional}.
1. with your frame on the floor, arrange your pine cones and stagger the height. use an odd number of pine cones {i used 7} so that it is visibly pleasing.
2. roughly measure how much ribbon you’ll need to reach the frame and then add 2″. cut a piece of ribbon for each pine cone.
3. hot glue one end of each strip of ribbon to a pine cone.
4. flip frame over so that the back of the frame is up. make sure all pine cones are in place and place the ribbon under the frame. {so that the ribbon is against the “right” side of the frame}
5. then with your GlueGlider Pro+, run a small strip of adhesive along the back of the frame where each end of the ribbon wraps around. note: you could also use a hot glue gun for this. i chose to use the GlueGlider for a flat adhesive so that it laid flush with the wall.
6. fold the ribbon ends over the adhesive and you’re done!

super easy fall/winter wall hanging!
thanks for letting me come play, amy! it was fun to share a craft with you. i hope you’ll stop by Craftaholics Anonymous so we can craft together again! oh and don’t forget about the Handmade Gift Exchange. sign ups end Nov. 7.
happy crafting,
linda

    I think I have a bunch of old pinecones from last christmas that were scented..the scent is gone but they could be repurposed for this craft!

    Very nice! I might add some bright holiday scrapbooking paper behind the cones (mostly because I’m addicted to the stuff!).
