Pencil Arrow Valentines + Free Printable

January 16, 2013 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

FacebookTweetPinYummlyPrint

These simple printable valentine cards are the perfect solution for busy parents wanting a fun, easy valentine for kids to hand out to friends at school. With a heart center with a pencil “arrow” tucked through, this is one valentine goody that will be put to good use! Let me show you how easily these come together.

Pencil Arrow Valentines with Free Printables

For this project, you will need…

  • Free “Just Write” Valentine Printable

  • White cardstock
  • Scissors (with a decorative edge, if desired)
  • Hole punch
  • Pencils
  • Eraser tips
  • Ribbon
Print the free valentine heart printable onto cardstock. Use standard or decorative-edge scissors to cut out each heart.

Punch a hole through either side of each heart, as shown.

To ensure your pencil will slide easily through the punched holes, cut four small notches at the top, bottom, left and right sides of each punched hole.

Now, slide your pencil through the holes. Cover the unsharpened end with an eraser tip…

…before finishing with a ribbon bow tied on the pencil’s eraser end.

This is a terrific valentine option for those wishing to enlist the help of little hands. They are great done in assembly-line fashion!

To grab the download for these valentines, click on this link or the image below.

As always, please be courteous when using these printables and remember they are intended for personal use only. Thank you!

Thanks so much for making PS a part of your day!
