Halloween Pedicure with Klutz

September 19, 2012 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

A couple of months ago, I was honored to be invited to serve as one of 12 members on the Klutz Crew, a group of brand ambassadors for Klutz Books. This was one blogging opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up, because Klutz books are unrivaled when it comes to innovative, entertaining activity books for kids of all ages.

After selling 100 million of their activity products to date (wow!), this year Klutz is celebrating their 35th anniversary by unveiling brand-new packaging for their products.

Klutz books will still have the same colorful, step-by-step how-to’s that have made them so popular, but they will now make it much easier to store supplies within the packaging itself. The books and all of the materials that go along with them will stack easily on bookshelves or in storage cabinets: no extra boxes or bins required. Terrific!

I am always looking for fun activities to enjoy with my girls, and giving each other manicures and pedicures just can’t be beat! The Nail Art book from Klutz will be perfect for making that activity even more special. There are so many fun ideas here!

Confession time: when I unpacked the box containing this book, both of my daughters were at school. Did I let that hold me back from taking this book out for a spin? No way, Jose! I thumbed through the book and decided to treat myself to a fun Halloween pedicure.

With a bit of black and white polish (which I was delighted to find out washes off easily with soap and water)…

…and some spooky, easy-to-follow instructions…

…in no time at all my piggies were Halloween-ready. Boo!

The moment my oldest daughter got off the bus from school, she begged me to paint hers the same way. I can see this being an activity she and her friends would love to do together, too! What a fun birthday gift idea, and especially now that the packaging makes these books so easy to wrap up.

About Nail Art:

A fully photographic instruction book, packed full of tips, techniques, and hundreds of designs to paint on fingernails (and toenails, too). No artistic genius required. Comes with six non-toxic, peel-off nail colors — our exclusive formula. And as we embark on a second decade of nail art mania, we’ve updated the book with a fresh, new cover and kept the time-tested, full-color, inspirational photographic feast inside just as it is.

Over the course of the next couple of months, I’ll be sharing more terrific activity products from Klutz, so stay tuned. I know you’ll love them as much as our family has! In the meantime, you can connect with Klutz on Facebook for product information and special promotions, and rumor has it, you can also now find Klutz hanging out on Pinterest!

Disclosure: As a Klutz ambassador, I have been compensated for my time and given products to review. Rest assured that I am committed to only sharing products I feel my readers will benefit from and enjoy, and all opinions expressed in this post are entirely my own.

Your nails look super cute. My daughter would love this book. Might have to go buy it. What I really love are your red polka dot shoes. Where did you get them?
