Saturday Seven (No. 14)

June 4, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Hello! Thanks for taking time out of your weekend to stop by!

It’s time for another installment of the Saturday Seven, and I have another marvelous lineup of terrific ideas to share with y’all!

In case you’re new to Positively Splendid, each Saturday I share seven of my favorite finds from the blogging world from the last seven days. Whether it’s a project, a recipe, and event, or something else entirely, if I love it, you can count on finding it here!

So – let’s get right to it! I present to you (in no particular order) this week’s
Saturday Seven!

No. 1
Rake Jewelry Display @ Sarahndipities

Repurposing and old object. Check. A simple, functional organizational tool. Check. This project combines two of my favorite concepts! What a marvelous idea!

No. 2
Scrabble Tile Pillow Covers @  Delicate Construction

I’m an unabashed word nerd, so these little guys instantly caught my eye! I can think of so many fun variations on this concept: spelling names, forming monograms, or adapting them for seasonal decor. Brilliant!

No. 3
Fathers’ Day Soda Bottle Covers @ The Idea Room

The uber talented Amy is at it again with this fun Fathers’ Day idea for the dads in your life. She even gives you free printables to use!

No. 4
Structured Fabric Baskets @ Sew 4 Home

The possibilities are truly endless for ways to use these fabric baskets. I love that they have enough body to hold anything from pantry goods to sewing and crafting supplies – and everything in between! Would they be great done in some chalk cloth for easy labeling?

No. 5
Magnetic Chalkboard @ I Heart Naptime

I honestly don’t know what I love about this most – the bright colors or that sweet little fabric and rick-rack bunting. Precious, and functional, boot!

No. 6
Bookworm Skirt @ Living with Punks

This precious skirt is one Susan crafted for her Scrap Your Stash series. There just aren’t words to convey how insanely clever this is! And Susan makes it look so effortless! Head over to be inspired, and while you’re there, check out all of the other phenomenal projects in the series.

No. 7
Ribbit Cupcakes @ The Seven Year Cottage

Are these not absolutely delightful? Surprise your kiddos by whipping up a batch of these little guys. I love that they turn easy-to-find ingredients into something so deliciously charming!
