Saturday Seven (No. 9)

April 30, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Who can believe it is the last day of April! Wowzers!

With Mothers’ Day coming up next weekend, my focus for this week’s Saturday Seven lineup was for projects that would make terrific, unique gifts for the moms in our lives.

New to Positively Splendid? My Saturday Seven represents seven of the projects that have wowed me the most over the course of the last seven days. Be it a craft, a DIY project, a recipe, an event, or something else entirely, if I love it, you’ll find it here!

So now, in no particular order, let me present this week’s
{Mothers’ Day} Saturday Seven!

No. 1
Upcycled Tray @ A Pretty Life in the Suburbs

Y’all know my heart for taking worn, dated items and reviving them. This tray is simply fabulous, and you will never, ever, EVER believe how easy the tilework came together here. (No grouting required!) I have a new must-try product on my project to-do list!

No. 2
Mason Jar Key Hook @ Shanty 2 Chic

Those Shanty Sisters have done it again! This is yet another knock-out, ingenious project that immediately made it to my lineup of must-tries!

No. 3
Distressed Photo Canvases @ Delia Creates

There is something about a worn, distressed feel that draws me into a project. The possibilities for this technique are endless: portraits, silhouettes, still life photography. Love this!

No. 4
Fabric Mail Organizer @ Noodlehead

What mom couldn’t use an extra boost when it comes to organization? And organization that looks this gorgeous is icing on the cake! Such a marvelous idea, and a very well written tutorial to go along with it.

No. 5
All-In-One Picnic Blanket Tote @ Craftbuds

What a fun idea to bestow this gift upon a special mom in your life, with a lovely picnic spread to go along with it! The waterproofing aspect of this project is so smart and functional.

No. 6
Kissing Balls @ Corduroy Dreams

Aren’t these so fresh and fun? You could easily customize the color scheme here to fit any decor. I can imagine them being gorgeous in any season. And inexpensive, too!

No. 7
Lemon Sticky Rolls @ Delectable Deliciousness

It’s become a sort of tradition: the seventh slot in this lineup is always reserved for something decadent. I can think of few things I would love more than to have one (or ten!) of these beauties served to me for breakfast in bed next weekend. Be still my sweet-roll-loving heart!

Soak up every bit of joy you can from this weekend, friends!
