Washi Tape Turkey Craft (Kids’ Thanksgiving Idea)

November 8, 2012 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

Thanksgiving is just two short weeks from today. Can you believe it? If you are on the lookout for a fun craft to do with your children to prepare for the big day, today’s idea for washi tape turkeys might be right up your alley. This project requires items you might very well already have in your crafting stash, and you can tailor it according to the age of your child depending on the amount of prep work you do beforehand.

All of the project directions and templates used to create these little guys are available in the PDF of the tutorial (available for download below), but I also have very exciting news:

I’ll be doing a LIVE demo of this project this afternoon at 1 PM Pacific time (that is 3 PM Central for any of my local readers) during the Google+ Handmade Thanksgiving Event!

All week long, a group of immensely talented lifestyle bloggers have teamed up to share Thanksgiving project ideas of all sorts: decor, crafts, kids’ ideas and much more. The beauty of the event is that each of the presentations are conducted as Google+ Hangouts on Air, and because they are all broadcast LIVE, this is the next best thing to sitting in on a crafting session with some of your favorite creative gurus!

I hope you’ll join in on the fun as I present this afternoon alongside PS Contributor Megan from The Homes I Have Made and Holly from Kids Activities Blog. We each have a fun, kid-friendly Thanksgiving idea to share to help keep little ones entertained at the kids’ table during the Turkey Day festivities.

Exciting, right? You can either watch the demo here as it streams live (scroll down to see the box where everything will display), or you can also check it out on my Google+ profile or my YouTube channel.

Not available at 1 PM Pacific? No worries! The Hangout will be available to watch on my YouTube Channel even after the event is over, so you can fit it into your schedule. Isn’t that great?

So, here’s what you should do next:

  • Download your copy of the PDF Washi Tape Turkey Craft tutorial below
  • Gather your crafting supplies
  • Join me HERE at 1 PM Pacific to watch a live demonstration of exactly how the craft comes together!

To download your copy of the tutorial, click on the arrow at the bottom of the download box below. If you are enjoying this post via email subscription or in a reader, you will need to visit the blog post in order to grab the download. If you are using Firefox as your browser and are experiencing issues with the download, I encourage you to try an alternate browser, such as Chrome. Please remember all of my tutorials are for personal, non-commercial use only. Thank you!
