Today’s post is brought to you by Rich Products. // Is there someone special to whom you would like to show your appreciation this Valentine’s Day? If so, I have a perfect idea for giving them a memorable, thoughtful gift that takes almost no time at all. In just 15 minutes (or less!) you can whip up an oh-so-cute Valentine’s Day goodie mailbox, complete with a fun valentine postcard and some delicious baked goods from your local grocery store. Let me fill you in on all of the sweet details for how this comes together!

Mailbox treat boxes with free printable Valentine's Day postcards. Filled with ready-made bakery items, these are an easy last-minute Valentine's Day idea for teachers, neighbors and more! #bakerybecause

This Valentine’s Day, I wanted to do something special for my kids’ teachers, but with soccer and baseball both starting this week, plus church, piano practices and other activities, I simply don’t have time to whip up a homemade treat from scratch for each of them. It’s times like these that I absolutely love taking premade, store-bought treats and packaging them up in special ways. With just a small investment of time, recipients know just how much they are loved and appreciated. It’s a win for all!

I found some adorable lip-shaped cookies at my local grocery store that I knew would be perfect for this project. After that, a trip to my local craft store for a few basic items gave me everything I needed to make three very special gifts. I love that this is a perfect project for children to make for teachers, as it is entirely suitable even for the youngest of crafters!

For this project, you will need…

  • Valentine’s Day Postcard Printable << Click link for the free download.

  • White cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Small paper mache mailbox
  • Letter stickers, heart stickers and other embellishments
  • Cellophane treat bags
  • Twine
  • Store-bought baked goods

Directions:

  • Download and print the free postcard valentines onto the white cardstock. Use scissors to cut each one out. I used scalloped-edge scissors for added cuteness, but that is entirely optional. 😉
  • Use stickers to embellish the outside of the mailbox any way you please. Kids will love this step!
  • Place the baked goods in the cellophane bags, and tie up with twine.
  • Tuck the wrapped goodies inside the decorated box, along with the signed postcard.

This cute little postcard would also be darling used as a gift tag on its own, tied onto a bag of treats, or even a bouquet of flowers.

I would love to treat my husband to something wonderful. There has been a lot of activity in our personal and work lives that he could use the acknowledgement – even though I do my best every day! My in-laws deserve something as well. They are going through a rough time and it will get even worse in the future. Happy Valentine’s Day Aims!
