Blog Swapping with Madigan Made

Hi there! I’m so excited that Amy invited me here today!

I’m Madigan, a 30-something working gal and I blog over at Madigan Made. I live with my hubby and pup in PA and I enjoy making creative projects in my spare time.. and writing about them!  I love blogging about recipes, crafts and decor projects.  Most of these ideas are simple and easy to do yourself.
(I like simple, don’t you?)

Let me show you some of my favorite projects.

I love the look of milkglass and decided to paint the inside of glass jars to simulate that look.
I first painted tree shaped cookie jars for Christmas. Then I recently updated my apothecary jars with the same technique. I think that the white paint really shows off the outline and shape of each vase.
A recurring project on my blog is this big chalkboard that I made and hung in my kitchen.
I change the quote out every month and sometimes will add a simple seasonal centerpiece on the kitchen table to complement the quote.

I wanted creamware plates to hang next to the chalkboard and painted thrift store plates to get the look I wanted.

I loove chocolate. And I love simple recipes. (who doesn’t?)

I made this s’more bark and broke up pieces and put them in cupcake liners. It was an easy and elegant way to serve a treat.

I’m a big fan of finding unique wall art for my home. If I can’t find something at a flea market, I often will make the “art” myself. (Notice the air quotes?… In no way do I consider myself an artist!)

My hubby collected his sporting event tickets for years. I arranged the tickets together in frames for some fun and personal art for our basement.

If you’d like to see more simple and easy projects… come visit me over at Madigan Made.

Thanks, Amy, for the opportunity to introduce myself to your readers!

Madigan’s blog is marvelous, and it absolutely should be on your list of dailies. I hope you’ll head over to pay her a visit!
