Easter blessings

April 5, 2010 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

What a marvelous day we had. We bid a teary farewell to my parents as they headed home after their week-long visit (thanks again for everything, Mom and Dad!) before it was time to head to church for a morning of fun and worship. The older monkeys were thrilled to hunt eggs with all of their church friends after a yummy Easter potluck brunch. Following the service, we headed home to spend time together as a family. The Easter bunny was very good to all three monkeys this year, with Jack receiving a tee-ball set, Boo a “hoppity ball” (one of the balls with a handle for sitting on and hopping), and Tink a peek-a-boo pop-up toy. And (of course) there was a little bit of candy in the mix, too. 😉 We wrapped up the day with a fantastic leg of lamb and some homemade vanilla bean gelato prepared by Matt. Perfection!

During the egg hunt, it tickled me to no end when I noticed Jack taking the time to stop and blow the tendrils off of a dandelion. I just love this little guy!

The word amazing tends to be so overused these days. But friends, that is the only word I can think of to describe what Easter means for all of us. Christ is risen!
Love and blessings to all,
