Saturday Seven (No. 4) – SYTYC Edition

March 19, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

So, y’all might have heard somewhere along the way that I recently participated in a little contest called So You Think You’re Crafty. 😉 It was a truly memorable, motivating experience. I would be remiss not to send out a genuine word of congratulations to the Season 6 winner, Melissa. Week after week, she shared innovative, unique projects. It was a pleasure creating with you, Melissa!

Along the course of my SYTYC journey, I’ve shared my creations with you. What I haven’t done, though, is share the projects created by the other contestants that really wowed me. And trust me – there were many! The lineup of contestants this season continually stepped up to each week’s challenge to contribute creative, fresh ideas. Today, I thought I’d use my Saturday Seven lineup to share a few of my favorites!

So now, in no particular order, my SYTYC
Saturday Seven!

No. 1
Sweet Window Seat by Melissa @ Sew Like My Mom

Melissa wowed me (and I’m sure many of you, too!) with this darling window seat she fashioned from an old TV stand for the Thrift Store Challenge.

No. 2
Family Game Day by Ashlee @ I’m Topsy Turvy

Ashlee shared this life-sized version of Candy Land for the Game Day challenge. How fun is this? My kids would love it!

No. 3
Cloche Hat by Meredith @ My Magic Mom

Meredith started off the season for the Thrift Store Challenge in Week 1 with this darling little cloche hat. Everything about it is simply fabulous, don’t you think?

No. 4
Knit Jammies by Beckie @ Corduroy’s Closet

This was, by far, one of my favorite projects from the season. Beckie truly outdid herself for the Upcycled Challenge by turning keepsake sweaters into pajamas for her little one!

No. 5
Cozy Clutch by Lisa @ Crafting My Way Through Life

The chevron look of this little clutch, which Lisa whipped up for the Cozy challenge, had me hooked right from the start! Love!

No. 6
Relax Hammock by Meredith @ My Magic Mom

So unique. So useful. So comfy! I want one of very own!

No. 7
Bilingual Table Toppers by Melissa @ Sew Like My Mom

A little factoid y’all might not know about me: I’m a fluent Spanish-speaker. So these little guys won me over immediately! What a truly creative idea to help kiddos learn the Spanish words for eating accouterments!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend so far. I’ve had a great, nausea-free and energetic day, so mine has been marvelous! And it’s about to get better since my sweet hubs is making me my all-time favorite food tonight: green chile cheeseburgers!
