Top Ten of 2010

January 4, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

2010 was a big year for me in terms of my blogging commitment, as Positively Splendid went from having just a handful of loyal readers (thanks, Mom 😉 to where it is now. I am so appreciative of each and every one of you! Truly!

Here is a countdown of your favorite projects of 2010. If you’re new to Positively Splendid, I invite you to grab a cup of coffee and click around for a while! If you’ve been reading PS for a while, I hope you enjoy this little blast from the past.

#10  Funny Bunny Treat Bags
These little darlings make me smile each and every time I see them!
Psst…it’s never too early to start planning for Easter. 🙂

#9  Bubble Wrap Crocodiles
This is such a fun – and easy! – craft to do with kiddos.

#8 Coke Can Napkin Rings
Extra Coke cans lying around? Think outside the box and use them to punch up your home decor!

#7 Ruffled Autumn Leaf Tee
I can see endless possibilities using the technique for making these leaves. How about changing it up for spring by layering some fabric flowers on top of a leaf background (something my mom, the talented Mama Reita, did recently)?

#6 Beguiling Blossoms (Sheet Metal Flowers)
I love creating something beautiful out of the most unlikely things. Grab a piece of sheet metal and some metal cutters and get to work!

#5 Calla Lily Wreath
I’ll let you in on a little secret: this is absolutely my favorite creation of the year!

#4 Creating Digital Silhouettes with Photoshop Elements
Silhouettes were all the rage in 2010, and I showed you here how to create your own. What a meaningful way to decorate your home!

#3 The Pebbles Skirt
My first sewing tutorial ever! I think I need to make another one of these for Miss Priss this year.

#2 Homemade Citronella Candles
If you’re as bugged by bugs as we typically are here each summer, this project is for you!

And, with the most visits overall…

#1 Tiered Terracotta Planter
I’m going to have to make another rendition of this for our new address this spring. I can’t wait!

Thank you so much for reading!

P.S. The Crafting with the Stars competition is open for auditions again over at Sew Dang Cute. Hop on over and enter for a chance to participate. I added my Whimsical Christmas Stockings to the lineup – entry number 101!

It was the tiered terracota planter that first brought me to your site…and it was the #1 project so I bet it brought you more regular readers than just me 🙂
Thanks for all the inspiration, I am looking forward to more in 2011!!
