Monogrammed Tablet + Intel Tablet Giveaway!

April 3, 2014 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

FacebookTweetPinYummlyPrint

This post and giveaway are brought to you by Intel.

I have often wished that I could have a personal assistant to help me on my game during hectic weeks, someone that could help me keep track of appointments, practices, games and such, as well as allowing me a bit of “me” time in the midst of it all. When I received a new Samsung Galaxy Tab3 on my doorstep a few weeks ago, I honestly never imagined this little device would turn out to be that assistant, all wrapped up in one compact, accessible package.

I can start my day by checking out my appointments and to-do list on my calendar, followed by a quick run through my favorite social sites. Because this device is lightning-quick, there is no tedious waiting for the information I need. It’s all right there with the swish of a finger! When I want to prepare a meal, I can use my tablet to display my favorite recipes, and because the Galaxy Tab3 has a feature that can sense when you are actually looking at the screen, it won’t go to sleep when I’m right in the middle of reading the next ingredient in the dish. And, when I’m ready to collapse in a heap in bed at the end of another productive day, I can catch up on the day’s latest news and events before checking out my calendar to see what the next day has in store. I honestly don’t know how I ever did without this device.

It is so rare that I find a tool so useful and so completely indispensable to my day that I reserve it just for myself, but this is one of those. Our running joke around the house has been that the new Galaxy Tab is “Mama’s Tablet,” so I decided to do a little DIY project to go along with that and add some pizzazz to my new toy. With the help of my die cutting machine, I cut my monogram from some adhesive vinyl…

Use adhesive vinyl to add a pretty monogram to the back of a tablet computer.

…and I affixed it to the back of the tablet. I love the pop of color and personality this little touch added! And I doubt with my monogram emblazoned on the back that there will ever be any doubt to whom it belongs to. 🙂

So now, the back of the tablet is all decked out…

Use adhesive vinyl to add a pretty monogram to the back of a tablet computer.

…while the bright, pretty screen is ready for action! I love it.

I would love this to keep my two littlest kids entertained while the three older ones play six soccer games a week for the next two months! (And maybe keep me entertained a little, too… that’s a LOT of soccer to actually watch and pay attention to…)

I would love one! My grandson has managed to completely fill up my current tablet with his games.

I would LOVE to win this tablet! I’m actually trying to raise money for my dad with a serious health condition, so I would probably “regift” this in the form of an auction to help with his medical expenses. 🙂

OMGoodness I’d love one of these! I SO need a personal assistant and this would be much better than trying to use my phone for everything. I think it would work very well for recipes too! Your monogram looks schnazzy. 😀 Thanks so much for the chance to win! 🙂

I love the idea of “Mama’s Tablet”! In fact, I would give the tablet to my mother. With four children and six grandsons underfoot on any given day, my mother could use some “me time”. If she had her own tablet she could catch up on emails for work/play, surf the web, or pin ideas to her heart’s content!

My husband needs to get rid of our laptop (the thing is basically virus city & super slow), but he needs to get a new piece of tech so that he can keep up with the office when he is at home. Just this morning, I was trying to convince him that a tablet is the way to go. I love that it would be easy for him to work anywhere in our home … and he could easily take it with him.

    Thanks for the chance!

I would love to win this tablet. I am on the communications team at my church. Everyone else on the team has laptops and tablets except me. I do all my work on my desktop or using my smart phone on the fly if I need to. It would be so nice to have something functional to take to the meetings so I can discuss our website (which we are overhauling) online documents. It would be great to be able to take notes on something other than a scrap of paper which I tend to lose!

    thanks!

  19. TerryKes says

    April 3, 2014 at 9:49 am

We have a computer in our living room that seems to activate a magnet to both my husband and I – at the same time. I need something portable that I can use for tutorials where I craft and sew, something I check my favorite social sites – Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, and emails, something that I’ve never been able to do but would love to – have an on-line subscription to a couple of my favorite mags. THEN, I’d love to make a sweet cover for it! 🙂

  20. Linda Hofacker says

    April 3, 2014 at 9:51 am

What couldn’t I do with this tablet ~ I need something to keep track of everything in my day so my scattered mind doesn’t forget! What a great opportunity to keep me looking like I remembered everything! 🙂

  21. Sharon says

This tablet would be great for a working care giver for both of my parents. I handle the checking and writing bills, making appointments and tracking medications. I could actually take it with me and put the appointments directly into the tablet. It is very hard to remind them to put on the fridge so when I come by I will have a copy. This would truly be awesome. Thank you so much for the information. Your website has given me a lot of ideas. I think this tablet would help me implement them.

I’m a new mom. Trying to stay updated while I’m always on the go is hard with my husband’s laptop that I steal regularly. We’ve gotten rid of cable TV, I’d use my tablet to keep up on the TV shows I’m missing, cook up fabulously wonderful healthy recipes, and learn to potty train… 😀

I’d love to have it to use for my daily schedules…but mostly for research & games for my 2 granddaughters. We could sit together to look at ideas of things to make together or just have fun playing games. Of course I could always use it to view Pinterest and your Blog as well as others. Thanks for the opportunity!

  26. Angie says

    April 3, 2014 at 11:30 am

I love that it does not shut down while using a recipe. That drives me nuts…It would be nice to not have to share the pad for once. Also that baby would work with my wireless printer..now I have to get out the laptop to print something I find on the pad. I’m loving the monogram..another reason to get one of those machines….someday.

I would love to win this! Why? Because it’s small and compact and I could take it from room to room, even in the car. There are plenty of hot spots out there. I would use it to check my email, surf the web and keep my to-do list organized. But I would use it mainly to read all my sewing blogs and keep all my tutorials organized. Thank you so much for the chance to win! I have entered many many giveaway’s and never win anything. : ( Maybe this time! : ). Thank you again for the chance to win! Glenda
