Reader Q&A and a Couple of Announcements

February 24, 2011 By Amy @ Positively Splendid

It’s Weekend Eve! Wahoo!!

I thought I’d use today to answer a couple of questions I’ve received recently and make a couple of announcements…

First things first! Your questions…

I would love the dry ingredient list for the recipe you used to make your pre-prepped Carrot-Yogurt Muffin mix [from this post last week]. Would you mind sharing it?

Absolutely! I shared that recipe last year right here. In that post, I showed them really gussied up with some cream cheese frosting and circus peanut “carrot” toppers, but they are honestly just as delicious served plain. This muffin recipe is one of my absolute favorites, as I can change up the mix-ins to fit what I have on hand: carrots, apples, raisins, etc. I also love to experiment with incorporating a variety of different types of baby food into these, using everything from sweet potatoes and carrots to any number of fruit purees. What a terrific way to sneak an extra serving of fruits or veggies into your diet!

I absolutely love the nursery wall hangings you shared this week. One question, though: how do you hang them since they aren’t framed?

This is a great question! And, I think you’re going to be surprised by my answer: push pins! There is absolutely nothing better for hanging unframed canvas artwork than a pair of push pins. They are just the right depth to hang the frame of the canvas from, and they much easier to use (and less expensive!) than attaching saw-tooth hangers to the back of each canvas.

By the way, if you ever have a question or comment you’d like me to address, please don’t hesitate to send it my way!

I wanted to point out right quick that I’ve added some photo links in the sidebar to some of my favorite spring projects from the PS archives. Since I’m sure many of y’all started reading after I shared those projects last year, I thought it might be fun to make it easy to get to a few of them! Scroll down to take a look.

Also, I have made it to the final three in the So You Think You’re Crafty competition…one step away from the finals!! This week’s challenge is “Just Scraps,” and all of the projects submitted are absolutely stellar (as has been the case all season long!).

Have a terrific Thursday!
